Re: Email from QVC re change to TSV

I received this message earlier today as well. This change does not affect me.  I rarely watch presentations anymore. I wait until I see the e-mail and if interested then I tune in.

The last presentation that I watched was Tatcha a few weeks back, and that was because I had received an e-mail about it. Before that I honestly could not tell you when last I watched a TSV presentation. Josie had a TSV last month or the month before. i did not watch the presentation. I saw the e-mail and went online to purchase.

Re: Email from QVC re change to TSV

I shop almost exclusively online and have pre-ordered TONS of TSV.

I check 'NEW' every morning and see all the upcoming TSV and bonus buys etc. and shop from there.

ZZZZZZZZZZZ by 7:30 pm so they will lose sales from me if it is not available still the next morning.

Air time wise, Win maybe for the west coast....but not for the East.

Re: Email from QVC re change to TSV

I'm disappointed by this development.

I very much enjoyed checking the new arrivals each day, which would include a large number of advance TSVs, and I also ordered early frequently.

Very few of them require a wait to view live presentations.

(And I'm sure there will still be frequent vacuum and mattress TSVs.)

They didn't say they were dropping those.

I prefer having  a little time to think about the TSV.  However, I think they could do away with all the other "deals" such as Online Specials (they're not), Bonus Buys (not much of a bonus), etc.

@shoechic

Thanks for the info. I guess I don't shop enough at the Q anymore, because I didn't get the email. I definitely haven't purchased a TSV in awhile. Time will tell if future TSV products and prices are truly special.

Re: Email from QVC re change to TSV

I really must say, though, that if the Q is intent on going back to the old days of maximum hyping of their soon to be 'unique' and one day only (but now usually tame, tiresome and tedious) TSV's they're going to need to tell the hosts, who have become increasingly hyperbolic, to take it down a notch or six when presenting other merchandise. Otherwise, pulling out all the stops to create buzz for the TSV will just seem like business as usual...

Re: Email from QVC re change to TSV

I kinda wonder if the dreaded POP UPS have something to do with this.

Even though people use PopUp blockers, the merchants and advertisers seem to find ways around it, and as soon as you look at an item, especially if it's name branded, you get bombarded with popups from all kinds of sites...or if no popups, emails from vendors advertising thier prices on the same item.

And of course a quick Google search of ANY item pulls up multiple vendors who change thier prices by the hour....

Anyway..just another sales gimmick. With all the other daily specials and one day and one show and because the host wore a green shirt pitches, I too give this a few  months.

I don't think anyone is setting thier alarm to find out the TSV....and like someone else mentioned..they don't seem to ever sell out at midnight so why bother?

So right off the bat, what do they have to introduce the new  policy of featuring unique items?  A Dyson vacuum cleaner.  Don't try to grab one beforehand, however.
