I wondered that also and am not sure whether the head of it is actually larger or it just has more blades. The unit itself is obviously larger and more ergonomic it seems than the one last year. I decided this was too expensive with the S/H and tax to spend on an epilator, particularly since I just bought the one last year that seemed much more reasonably priced.
