I really love these boots, but as usual don't know which width to order. My foot is on the slightly wide side, but when the Q offers wide, it's usually "honkin' mamma" wide.

Opinions?

The reason I like this boot compared to most is the chunkier sole and wider top opening. Living up north where we get tons of snow and cold autumn days and nights...I want to tuck in jeans and nice heavy socks to match fall jackets and be more sporty. The chunkier sole I hope will give me more traction and stability on those slipper patches where you do the shuffle walk (if you are a northern person you know the shuffle "penguin" walk I'm talking about). Most of my boots have such slick flat bottoms that you go skating when you hit a slick patch, hoping these are not that way. We'll see what I have to say about them when they arrive....I'm either going to love them or hate them.

I love the lug sole on these but don't know that i'm crazy about the rest of the boot.

I've tried some of this brand on the stores and thought they were very comfortable. Seems like a good price!

I'm on the fence. Looks comfy. Not sure I like the heavy sole. I'm tall and not skinny, so I worry about masculine looks (vs petite gals on whom it looks cute and boyfriend-ish.)

Is the leather thick or is it papery? I got some boots on sale a while ago and they are cute but the leather is no better than brown wrapping paper.

I like the suede-pebbled look of this boot a lot.

Campion, my team lead pre-ordered the boot in the burgundy/wine color. She is tall and what I would say in the appropriate weight for her height. On Tuesday, she told me that the boot was really nice but that she was returning it because she felt the shaft was too big around her ankle. She went as far as to say they would have been good for her husband. Perhaps she didn't pick up that they were moto type boots {#emotions_dlg.blink}? The were made well and true to size but not feminine enough for her.

Maybe it is my TV, but the leather portion seems to be a brownish color not navy. If I wear jeans you will only see the leather portion which is the part I want to be navy.

I liked the navy also until I saw them close up and it does look like only the suede part is navy. The leather part appears a purplish color to me so I am not ordering.

I, too, like the chunkier sole. These boots, even though the soles look "chunkier" than other boots/shoes, they don't look like the kind I see some teenagers wear with shorts (usually). The grey is calling my name; my size is available on waitlist only.

When they do mix media on boots and shoes (handbags also!) I prefer the shades to match - or at least be a VERY close blend. I originally thought the gray tsv boot was all gray- but it looks like the foot part is a dark taupe! The almond shade is really really close throughout- and I don't have a shorter boot in the brown family, so I decided to give it a try.

Good luck trying to find a answer. I would like to know ..... I have a slightly wide foot too, but not a wide duck foot ....no offense to wide foot people.
