Exclusive colors until 5/9/17.  Who cares. Is the color of your sweeper a status symbol?

More important than the colors, is that this is Dyson's V6 model, not their newest V8 model, which has more power and improved battery life.

I think the 'new' colors are intended to distract customers from which model Dyson this is, help Dyson get rid of an older model and QVC can snap them up cheaply.

JMO.....and I do like Dyson, BTW.

I wouldn't say it really matters what color it is.   My DH gave me the Fuchsia for Xmas , it's a pretty and  happy color and I like it. It's nice to have something differrent for a change .

I wouldn't buy a new vacuum just to change colors, but when I do want to buy I do like to be able to choose.  It's not about status since no one but me and perhaps some hired help ever sees my vacuum.

As far as needing the very newest and most powerful -  I probably don't need all that -  no kids or pets in my homes and few people besides me.  If I can save a few dollars with an older model, I'm just fine.

BTW-  that's pretty much my philosophy on lots of things.  I haven't ever calculated what I've saved over the years, but buying older models of appliances, driving used cars, shopping at thrift stores????  -   all of that lets me be extravagant where I really care.

It's okay to have a choice in colors.

I have the V6 in one color, but when I bought the V8 last year, I bought it in a different color.  That's so I can distinguish which one is which at a glance.

@Nomore, would you recommend this V6 or go with the V8?

@Nomore@I get that. My point was until you get it it will only be exclusive for less than 30 days

QVC is using term exclusively as a sales gimmick to my mind.

@Wsmom

I prefer the V8 because it is definitely quieter and it has the little blue lights on the side for how much charge is left. It runs a little longer, too.

I have used the V6 for several years, and am still pleased using it. The TSV is a good value; I don't have the fluffy head and was going to buy it extra, but when it finally was sold separately, it was too much money and QVC had a TSV for the V8 at the same time.

What I don't like about the V8 is the click/lock system for tools. It works perfectly, but the click has changed and can't hold/accept older attachments from other Dysons. I have a Dyson Animal canister which has attachments that are interchangeable with the V6 attachments. Also, after using the V6 for awhile, dumping the canister on the V8 had a bit of a learning curve for me; one has to make sure to push up/down the middle before trying to close, and I'm forgetful.

I got all my Dysons on TSV.

@Nomorebirthdays

I haven't watched an entire presentation on the Dyson, so I didn't know the colors were exclusive for a short period of time.  I think as IG said, it's to distract from this is not the newest. I did hear one host say it's the latest, and that is definitely wrong. Emphasis should be on all the tools that are not usually included at other stores, which make this a really good value.

Funny thing, I did buy two different colors for both models so I could distinguish one from the other, but I didn't need to do that since the different click attach does that. I didn't find that out until I received the V8.
