What do you think of the Dyson vacuum TSV? Anyone buying?

No way...not for one hour running time on the battery.

Whatever Dyson says, I'm skeptical battery operated vacuums have suction as powerful as electric.

I'm not interested in the handheld types of vacuums, I just don't have the hand/wrist or  grip strength that I once had.

And also what @Foxxee  said.

You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Good point, Foxxee.   I will probably stick with my bulky Rainbow a little longer.  It’s seducing me though.

I bought a cordless Shark Flex Ion2 stick vacuum at Sam's for 199 and im very happy with it. Very convenient. I bought a few more accessories from Amazon Has 40 min battery but comes with two batteries. I  never need to switch but I have a 936 ft home. It has a "polishing"  brush ...love it.

I don't care if it vacuums my home itself...I never would and never could spend $500 on one.

I bought a Dyson cordless Stick vacuum about 9 months ago and while it picks up great it is heavier than I thought it would be.

I am tired of the constant Dyson TSV's.    When I saw that was going to be the TSV for today, I knew my viewing would be limited today.  Thats fine I have other things to do around the house.

Re: Dyson V11 TSV

[ Edited ]

I can be a "spender", but there is no way, even in my wildest dreams, that I would pay that kind of money for a vacuum cleaner. It just boggles my mind.

A purse or piece of jewelry, sure. But I won't spend money like that on vacuum cleaners, vitamixes, stuff like that.

I also wouldn't pay $5 for a cup of coffee either if I drank coffee.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I was “sucked” into the Dyson speeches on QVC awhile ago & over time purchased 2 uprights, 1 canister & 1 cordless !!!!! ... I am a gluten for punishment!!!!...I gave  them all away except for the cordless which only holds a charge for 10 minutes!!! ..... I hate it & would NEVER buy a Dyson again ... Dyson is so overrated & overpriced .... I finally bought a Shark which I am very happy with ...... do yourself & stay away from Dyson!!!!

I have the V10 and it's fantastic. So convenient and it picks up all the dog hair. This V11 runs longer and has that great readout screen on the top of the handle. So easy to read. I waited years before I purchased the stick model but I do have the upright as well. Mine get a workout with a big home and 2 big dogs. It all depends on your needs around your home. How much and what kind of carpet do you have, do you have pets, kids, etc. What type of dirt, etc is tracked in on your floors? '

Before I purchased my Dyson stick I took a trip to BBB to try out the different brands to see how they handled. I wanted to see how heavy they were in my hand and how easy it was to push. The Dyson felt about 3 pounds lighter than some of the other models in the same category. I'm glad I did my "test" run. I like to see all the same type side by side before I make an investment. This was worked for me. I'm very pleased with all of my Dyson products.

I love my Dyson (I believe it is the 9).  I had stick vacs before but never cordless.  After listening to my daughter rave about hers and the ease of a cordless I broke down about a year ago.  Well, I must admit I love the whole cordless thing.  I am getting up there in years and the ease of use is wonderful on my stairs (carpeted) for switching on and off the attachments and I never run out of battery time.  Someone complained about it only lasting an hour; I never vacume for an hour!  It is great on my hardwood floors and tile as well as my carpeted family room and dining room area rug.  If you put it on the higher power is does not last as long, but still long enough to do those 2 rooms and it cleans well.  Big expense, but I have not regretted it.  I even take it out to the garage with the attachments to clean my car carpets, easy-peasy then back in the wall charger in my laundry room.
