I have an  old model upright , the Animal when it 1st came out  more than 10 yrs ago .

 Don't know abt these sticks on batteries after reading numerous reviews which are good to bad

I have one of these vacuums and I hate it.  It does a good job on carpet but it loses power too quickly.  I guess it depends on the size of your home.  But the "tank" has to be emptied too often and cleaning the filter is a pita.  

Also it is heavy.  I would not recommend this vacuum.

It seems the tanks are small on all of these types? I gave away my Shark as had a cord. Used it twice as hated a cord. There are two battery packs!  Polllen removal feature. Reviews generally positive. I assume all floors o.k. only thing mentioned was cement dust issues.

I know if not needed a OH NO another vaccum!
