Baking in Temp-tations........

I am pretty new to Temp-tations, so far I have baked bread in the loaf pan and a cake in the bundt pan. It took both much longer than my normal metal/glass baking pans. Is this normal? I have never used stoneware, should I pre-heat it? Thanks for your help.

Last year I baked in my loaf pan for the first time.  I made pumpkin bread and although the top/middle were baked perfectly it was clear after I cut in to it that the bottom wasnt completely baked and could have used more time.  It was very good but I'm glad I wasn't bringing it to someone.  Next time I will add time to whatever I'm baking and probably use a longer testing tool to reach the bottom, good luck!

NEVER pre-heat stoneware without anything in it. It could cause it to break. I bake in Temp-tations (especially the 8" square) often and things take the usual amount of time. I also have several other stoneware baking dishes from other makers and everything takes the same amount of baking time for me.

Thanks for the info. I really do love Temp-tations so far. Although, my bundt pan did have some crazing after I baked the cake, which they said is normal for some stoneware but so sad that it isn't perfectly pretty any longerWoman Frustrated

Totally understand. When I tested my cake it tested done but when I turned it out of the pan the middle was raw. Love my pan though.

Does anyone know the volume of the bundt pan? I've been trying to find out if it's a 10 cup pan or what? I want to order one but I need to know how much it holds first.
