I miss watching lifetime. I don't get that station anymore.

Saturday, Jan. 7: Reba McEntire Is 'The Hammer' of Justice in Lifetime Original MovieNew Lifetime movie, 'The Hammer,' is based on a real-life traveling judge.  Premieres January 7th at 8/7c on Lifetime

Reba McEntire The Hammer - 1

Lifetime is teaming up once again with country music superstar and award-winning entertainer Reba McEntire for Reba McEntire's The Hammera new movie inspired by a real-life circuit judge.

McEntire stars as Kim Wheeler, an outspoken, firecracker lawyer who is one of the few traveling judges left in America.

The Hammer also reunites McEntire with her Reba co-star Melissa Peterman.

The Hammer is inspired by real-life Nevada circuit court judge Kim Wanker. The real-life Judge Wanker (pronounced "Wonker") is actually known as "The Hammer" and still serves as a traveling circuit judge in Nevada.

Due to threats from those who don't agree with the verdicts and sentences she hands down, Wanker keeps self defense as a top priority—she packs a 9mm, drives an unmarked car and is usually accompanied by a bailiff!

With training as a professional race car driver, Wanker sometimes also has a bit of a lead foot when driving from court to court, which does lead to unforeseen delays in getting to her next session when she is pulled over for speeding!

While The Hammer is a stand alone film, there is potential for additional movies revolving around new cases and mysteries for McEntire's character, Judge Wheeler.

Based on seeing the preview only, personality skills--acceptable; agility skills--geriatric and not plausible at all. I say this being 73 years old.

I like Reba, but as a musical artist.  She does not, IMO, know how to act.  She overdoes it.  She should just stick to singing.

I liked her acting in the old show, Reba. I still watch reruns and laugh.  When I saw her in Big Sky, I realized I preferred her in funny shows. She was hard to take as a "bad guy."  I also was shocked at her appearance. I know she's older but it looked like a bad job at the doctor. Then I saw her on a current awards show and she looked beautiful. I thought it must have been the makeup artist making her look that way for her Big Sky role.

I did watch the new show and I'll probably tune in again.  And she looks the same as she did in Big Sky so I guess it was not just an extreme makeup job.

I think I read that her current boyfriend is the one who is getting her involved in these roles. He's her husband on Big Sky and another character in the current show.
