@AuntG wrote:@CalminHeart Having the character of Kyle showing tattoos wouldn't be out of character. It's just that Claire was under the thumb of Jordan her whole life. Tatoos don't fit with the character (in my opinion).
Who knows, maybe Jordan liked tattoos or they were done when Claire was trying to rebel without causing a crisis. Either way, it doesn't matter to me.

Maybe the make-up artists should have covered up Claire's tattoos. This poor little soul who was trapped by crazy Aunt Jordan found time to have two tattoos done, but she never had a single date. She was able to go to college and get her degree, but we were to believe that she was so brainwashed that she was willing to kill.
I cannot stand the character of Claire. I honestly don't even care for the actress who portrays her.
Yes, I agree that watching the scenes between Kyle and Claire was boring. The mindless conversation between them was so sugary sweet that I think my glucose level raised.
Yet no comment about Kyle's tats? hmmmmm
I think the dfference is that she's supposed to be this misused and abused, sweet innocent little thing. He's not portrayed that way. Not everything is an 'equality of the sexes' matter.
We can agree to disagree. I just don't care about Claire's tats. Very little about a soap opera is reality.

Hi, @kindred cats , and all the Y and R viewers. I have not really seen the show for decades, but have had a bug recently and decided to check out a few soaps for taping-- they can have a "soothing" quality, ha.
Am I correct that Mrs. Chancellor is no longer with us? How incredible that Eric Braeden and Melody Thomas Scott are still there! Is Melody sort of the "matriarch" now?
I don't remember "Ian Ward", but find him extraordinary. Was he a long-time character? The way he darts around, uttering complacent pieties, but plotting vicious murder....whew! He's very entertaining though, almost like a Dickens character, with his little mannerisms, quirks and plots...
Jack Abbot, in his craggy maturity, looks great!

Hi @Oznell
Nice to see you join in. Jeanne Cooper, aka, Katherine Chancellor, passed away in 2013. So sad for all of us. Absolutely loved her character.
All the Newman's are still going strong. Both Eric and Melody are leading the pack.
Most of us can't wait to see Ian Ward and Jordan get their comeuppance. Now minor characters of evil. Won't be long now.
Keep tuning in, and again, nice to see you! ![]()

Are we to believe that Dollar Bill doesn't have any help at his house? Housekeeper, cook, noone to see Luna?

I agree with you. It's complete nonsense.
You accidentally posted on the Y&R thread but I sure know who you are
talking about.
If you want you can just repost your comments over at B&B site.
Maybe Bill should go to work once in a while instead of worrying about
hiding a killer at his place.

Ok, wait a minute ....Claire was playing Jordan today, right? I was sitting watching today like what is going on. I must have missed something.

Thanks for your kind welcome, @kindred cats ! And the updates. I'm hopelessly behind and fumbling to differentiate the characters, a lot of whom are new to me. I'll keep reading here so I pick up more of what's going on.
Nice that the baddies are headed for trouble. But, the actor who plays "Ian Ward", and the actress who plays "Jordan", seem to enjoy their characters so much. Play them well. They bring that little ripple of danger to an otherwise smooth horizon...

@Oznell - Welcome! I hope you keep watching, this is a fun group. We could write better storylines than the real writers. I have only been watching for about twenty years, so sometimes when there are flashbacks I don't know some of the characters. Jordan and Ian are quite a pair, but I don't think they will be around much longer. I also watch Days of our Lives.
