Re: Y&R VICTOR NEWMAN LAST STAND

I just sat through several episodes on YouTube by the actors here.  I just heard Eric Braden say that the only way this medium can survive is by taking real life stories and putting them on the screne.

Obviously that was a few years ago, it seems like right after this is when things started going downhill as far as the story lines.  These story lines are definitely not in the least believable.

I have to wonder what Mr. Braden thinks of some of the writing on the show now!

I don't think he is leaving.  I didn't get that from what I saw.  I definitely did get that he very much does not like the way they keep making him out to be such a bad guy on the show.  He repeated that several times that he was tired of playing a bad guy on night time TV and that was one reason he became Victor Newman and then they created a background for him.

Gosh!  I sure miss the 'old days' when the soap was so much better.

Re: Y&R VICTOR NEWMAN LAST STAND

If he's worth $25 million now he's come a long way since I used to hang out with friends that played soccer with him on the beach in Santa Monica in 1965. That's when he was a chauffeur and still Hans Gudcast before Rat Patrol.

Re: Y&R VICTOR NEWMAN LAST STAND

As much as I would love to see Victor get everything that is coming to him and MORE...I agree that this show would be finished without him.  He is the character we all love to hate.

Re: Y&R VICTOR NEWMAN LAST STAND

@ballyk  I didn't make it up.  Here's where I saw it.  I don't know if it's true.  The only way we'd know is to ask him.  I only go by what I read.

Re: Y&R VICTOR NEWMAN LAST STAND

I absolutely love the character of Victor.   He makes Y & R interesting, and I love the way he fights for those ingrates he calls his family.  If they fire him from Y & R  I will stop watching until they put him back on.
