What are your favorite tearjerkers?

Tearjerker: A story, song, play, film, or broadcast that moves or is intended to move its audience to tears

I started compiling a list of films and it's way too long, so I'll just post mine as we go along.

To kick things off, here's one:

An Affair to Remember with Cary Grant and Debra Kerr.  I start to cry at the opening music.

Hi @just bee   This will be a fun thread.

First to mind was Steel Magnolias: "I'd rather have thirty minutes of wonderful, than a lifetime of nothing special"

Fiddler on the Roof:

Hodel:
Papa, God alone knows when we shall see each other again.

Then we will leave it in His hands.

Johnny Belinda with Jane Wyman NEVER FAILS.

ALL of the versions of An Affair To Remember (Love Affair with Warren Beatty TOO!)

I could play the last 10 minutes ONE MILLION TIMES and cry for each and every repetition.

YEP- just watched it on YouTube- when CG OPENS THAT DOOR....... FLOOD!

Since I was a teenager and caught it on black and white tv -- Imitation of Life--corny as can be especially by today's standards Smiley Happy but when the daughter is crying out " Momma Momma I am sorry , I love you "  with the New Orlean's type funeral in the background.... I still lose it !
