Yesterday found Christie with her ear pinned to the boat room door as Cliff gave the live feed watchers his Cliff notes on what's going on in the house. She heard him talking about his alliance with Ovi and Nicole (The Fellowship of the Zing) and where he thought everything in the house stood. Christie, being Christie didn't keep this information to herself but rapidly notified nearly everyone else of what she heard. (Cleverly omitting the parts where he linked her and Tommy as a pair who might have known one another before entering the house.)
Jack and Jackson were stunned. Someone else in the house was playing to win? Someone was trying to beat them and not just let them have the half million? It was absurd! Surely Cliff had to know the game was theirs and no one else was allowed to play. The fool!
Tommy soon decided that maybe Cliff was America's Player and he had to tell us his plans each day. Aha! That made sense to them. (Or it could be that Cliff is just a fan of the game and not a brain-dead recruit like so many others and he wants to keep the live feed watchers up to date on what's happening.) They then decided that part of Cliff's task as America's Player must be to keep carrying around Orwell (the POP TV mascot) since he always has Orwell with him. So, they cleverly stole Orwell and hid him in the HOH room so Cliff couldn't complete that mission. A mission that didn't exist, but hey, what do they know.
In showmance news, Jack broke up (more or less) with Analyse after having a vivid dream where his ex refused to talk to him. He was in tears relating the dream to Christie. She was the love of his life (poor girl) then she broke up with him (smart girl) and now he's devastated and doesn't want to be with Analyse (dumb guy/lucky girl) So much for Grodner's new Jeff and Jordan. Nick and Isabella continue to fumble under the covers on a routine basis and have moved way, way up the target list. Jackson and Holly have more or less petered out. Holly was very upset when Jackson hurt his ankle as it made him les of a threat in the game and possibly made her more of a target than her meat shield. It was very inconsiderate of him to let himself get injured when she needed to hide behind him.
And we have more new alliances. Nick, Isabella, Sam, Christie and Tommy have now formed an alliance. They're calling themselves "The Flaming Five." Christie and Tommy are now in something like five hundred alliances at this point. And probably fifty final twos, which is amazing since there are only fifteen possible final two combinations with them in it. To say they're well protected by alliances is an understatement. Jackson more or less recruited Kat and Nicole into the Gr8ful taking the place of Nick and Isabella.
On the injury front, Jackson's ankle was examined by a doc/medic/voodoo high preistess who shot him up with lidocaine to numb the pain (Jackson's pain from the ankle not our pain watching Jackson) but it's not getting better. That rather strongly implies he did some significant damage to it. A simple twist or sprain should be getting better in a few days time. His doesn't seem to be improving.
And we have a show tonight! It's on after Love Island so we get a nine o'clock (ET) start time tonight. On tonight's show we'll see the aftermath of the noms. (Kemi and Jessica). We'll see the picking of the POV players. We'll see the frog stacking comp. We'll see Sam win yet another POV. We'll see Jackson hurt his ankle. And in the end we'll see Sam not use the POV to keep the noms the same. Relatively little chatter so far on flipping the vote and voting out Jessica. It looks like Kemi will be sent off to Minority Island/Camp Comeback. I'm hoping for an upset in tomorrow's POV comp and someone outside of the Gr8ful alliance winning power. It would be nice to see that side of the house dealing with pressure for a bit.
The house should stay relatively quiet today. Expect half the house to be waiting for Cliff to give his Cliff notes talk today and sneak up to the boat room door to eavesdrop on him. Cliff typically listens closely for anyone outside and stops his talk if he hears anything, but Christie was very quiet and he didn't hear her outside. Such is life. I don't think it really hurt Cliff that much as he was on the target list anyway, but it may have moved him up the list. It seems to have moved Nicole down the target list though which is odd.
