TCM Summer Under the Stars

What a great line up for 31 days.  Not a dud among them and I'm happy to see they will focus on a couple of people who are still working--Vanessa Redgrave and Angela Lansbury.  Super month!

Yes, castlenv, a lot of my faves will be featured as well--  Claire Trevor, Franchot Tone, Ginger Rogers, John Wayne, Sidney Poitier, Barbara Stanwyck, Glenn Ford.  You're right, it should be a great month!

I agree - a great month ahead! Thanks for alerting us!

 

One that is "out of season" will be on next Sunday morning at 10:30 EDT - "Holiday Affair" with Robert Mitchum and Janet Leigh. It's  usually on during  the Christmas season and is one of my favorites at that time of year, along with Barbara Stanwyck's "Christmas in Connecticut." Anyway, will be fun to see it in August!

Several times todayI tried to figure out the "Star of the Day". There were silent movies, and movies from the 1970's. I could not figure out who was in all the movies THEN I realized today is July 31 not August 1. OOPS!

 

I can't wait. Of course some movies I want to watch are on at  2AM.
