Re: Stephen King - It: Welcome to Derry

@Calibeach thank you for the review, you answered so many questions and gave so much insight.  I am watching it and enjoying it, however, I have to agree with @NEvans.  I somehow enjoy reading his books more than watching his movies.

Episode 3 preview: With only hours to go until filmmakers Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti, and Showrunners Jason Fuchs and Brad Caleb Kane's It: Welcome to Derry S01E03: "Now You See It" hits screens, we're hearing from someone about tonight's episode whose opinion regarding horror carries a whole lot of weight. On Sunday, bestselling author Stephen King teased that tonight's episode "ratchets up the horror," and even dropped a This Is Spinal Tap reference to further drive home his point. "As Nigel Tufnel would say, 'This one goes to eleven," King added

Re: Stephen King - It: Welcome to Derry

We watched the latest episode.  I think it getting too ridiculous now.  I know it's not a,documentaryšŸ˜„ but jeez with the ghosts flying around.  That part reminded me of Ghost Busters #1.  The acting of the kids in the show is stellar.  I'll probably stick with it, it is entertaining.

Re: Stephen King - It: Welcome to Derry

Episode 4 Preview-It: Welcome to Derry episode 4 gives us the origin story of the one and only It, who we've all come to know (and fear) as Pennywise the Dancing Clown. While much of the lore in Welcome to Derry episode 3 was (cleverly) invented for the show, episode 4 takes us back to the pages of It, and brings King's original vision to life.

Now that we know where Pennywise came from...what's next? Well, let's just say things are about to get worse for the citizens of Derry.

Re: Stephen King - It: Welcome to Derry

Excited to see the new episode tonight 🫣

Welcome to Derry episode 5, characters like Ronnie and Lily confront their biggest fears, with Ronnie facing a version of her mother and Lilly experiencing a terrifying grocery store scene amplifying her grief.

The military subplot intensifies as the investigation into the theater massacre continues, and Leroy learns the true nature of the events, while Ronnie holds one of the protective shards from the ancient meteorite. The episode's climax involves a large number of deaths, possibly due to the removal of a protective shard, and a possible return of Pennywise in its full clown form.

Re: Stephen King - It: Welcome to Derry

4 more episodes for Season 1 😬

What Is Welcome to Derry Episode 6 About? Here's What We Know

Episode 6 places ****** Hallorann at the center of the terror. The synopsis hints the visions haunting him intensify, leading him to a crucial moment inside the Black Spot. There, Hallorann faces a revelation that forces him to acknowledge that the trauma he experienced beneath the house not only affected him physically, but also opened a door Pennywise is willing to cross again and again.

While ****** battles his own shadows, the rest of the children face challenges that expose their insecurities, guilt, and deepest secrets. Unlike other characters, Hallorann has not been able to shield himself from fear, and that vulnerability makes him an ideal target for the entity. The episode delves into how the clown uses these weaknesses to manipulate him, pushing him into an internal struggle that will shape the course of his story and that of the entire group.
