Re: Sherri Shepherd - Wendy Show Today

yes, i liked nick and sherri.
sherri was right at home.

i suspect that wendy could be under doctors orders not to work for a while. that's fine. it happens.

i don't use social media, so i don't know if wendy posted anything or not. it would be nice if she posted something, since she is well enough to be out buying something. but i think this is just her way of dealing.

if i was sick and my mom was in florida, that's where i'd go also, 'cause nobody will be there and take care of you, like a good mother.

i read an article that said that the staff wants nick to be the new permanent host and that they are happy to not have kevin there. that says volumes to me. i personally think that he may be the real reason that wendy has changed when the cameras aren't rolling.

what i noticed is that her purple chair is not on set. wow!
to me, that's just petty.
the fill in hosts are doing everything they can to save the show.

while many do not like wendy's style of presenting stories (for lack of a better phrase right now), it is the same way that she presented them when she was on the radio for decades. the difference is that we get to see the interviews. apparently, enough people at the network thought it would work on tv.

i think it has worked for her, for so long because she doesn't have any fear of calling it how she see's it. and for the most part she gets the story right. she asks the questions that many people want to know the answer to, but would never in a million years be so bold to ask.

whatever part of her not being on the air that is illness related, is really all i care about.

whatever her husband did, is not helping her get well.

guess it never dawned on him, that the ONLY reason he's getting a check is because of wendy and if she can't do the show, there goes his check and a whole lot more.

i just know that where there's smoke, there's fire.

Thanks for bringing those things up.  I have been listening to WW since her radio days in NYC & Philly.  The gossip was grittier back then for radio.  So gritty, that Puffy had her blackballed in NYC at one time.  Reason for her transfer to Philly.

There are all kinds of stories coming out about her lately.  First it was her shoulder, then it was Graves, and now it is all the mess with her husband.  She was spotted at a CVS store in Florida, looking like a mess.  I think her personal problems at home, according to what I have been reading lately, are a big issue.

@lovesallanimals  she looks awful coming out of the CVS.  Yikes!

I read that March 4th she will be back so we will see. They said right after the holidays she was coming back in Feb, but that didn't happen.

Some savvy media production company should snatch up Ms. Shepard as the host of her own program.  I enjoyed her time on the Wendy Williams show.

deepwaterdotter:  ITA!  I cannot remember when I have enjoyed a talk show more.  She was incredible, the best I have ever seen.  I was so disappointed when they announced that Wendy will be back in March and after seeing some real talent fill in for her, I am done watching her.   Cannot stand her snippy and sarcastic manner.  They really should not have her drinking or eating on air as she does make the most disgusting sounds and mannerisims.

Yes, they've used every excuse in the book.  None of them believable because none of the excuses would prevent a person from working so I'm thinking she's dealing with some type of substance abuse.

@lovesallanimals

I think she's dealing with not coming to work and getting paid for it.  They need to fire her!  The first requirement of a job (and most important) is SHOWING UP!

I don't like Sherri shepherd.  After her break up with her husband, she wanted nothing to do with the baby from the surrogate. She had to be forced by the court to contribute to the child. IMHO, she is not worth watching. The child should not have to suffer the consequences.

I liked Jerry O'Connell when he hosted the show. He was funny. They should bring him back.

@elated  - I'm glad someone brought this up.  I think she's good at putting on a false front.  The way she acted regarding the child that she said she wanted, then essentially tossed away like an unwanted handbag or piece of clothing because she decided she didn't want to be a mother after all - I could never look at her the same way again.

Whatever her issues with her partner, a child is not a possession to be discarded like that.  She showed her true colors during all of that.

Nothing she says would ever make me laugh and I'd never watch a show she was on.  As phony as they come.

@Mz iMac  I also listened to WW on WBLS.  I'll never forget when she was talking about Whiney Houston and how she must have s*x like monkees with Bobby Brown.

Whintey caught wind of the comment and called into the show bashing Wendy by saying how dare you.  You don't even know us, and went off on Wendy.  I think it was the first time Wendy went radio silent.
