Paramount+ Changes

[ Edited ]

Paramount+ made content and rate changes last week.  If you subscribe to P+, you likely got the email about that.  One highlight to content is the inclusion of Showtime.  Previously, Showtime was a separate, extra charge to a P+ subscription.  Now, Showtime is included, at least in my plan.  In fact, I was surprised when I opened P+ a couple days ago and had access to all that Showtime content for the first time.  Showtime has quality content with award winning movies and TV programs.  So, a pleasant development indeed!  Just a heads up for fellow P+ subscribers.

I got a deal for half off the price of P+ for a year.  I checked on it to see if Showtime is included now but I don't have access to it.  Is it because I got a deal on the price?

@GRANNY77 :  did you go into your P+ and try watching a Showtime show?  Try watching the first episode of, say, "Dexter," or "Shameless," or start watching a Showtime movie like "1917," or "Aftersun."  If you can watch any of these Showtime shows, then your plan now includes Showtime.  Good luck!

I saw a commercial for Para+ and it said that Showtime is now included.

I did but they all have lock symbols on them and they bring me to a screen that asks if I want to upgrade to P+ Showtime.  I have a feeling that because I got a deal on it, the changes won't apply to me.  I'll keep checking.  Thanks for your help!

@JanetsGirl   Our P+ bill will increase by $2 starting next month.  That's still a good deal, since I believe Showtime on its own is $10 or $11 a month.

On the other hand, we lost Peacock.  We had free, since we had internet with Comcast, but that went away as of last week.  I can't complain, as I've had it free for at least two years if not longer.

I'm getting one year free through T-Mobile and I do not get showtime included either.

You can go to Paramountplus.com to see how your plan may have changed especially as to Showtime.  They have a lengthy explanation there.  Also, if you view P+ via an app, I think you need to upgrade that app.  Probably a good idea to reboot your streaming device, e.g. Roku, as well.  Good luck everyone!

I have the regular Paramount +, which was $4.99 and will now be $5.99. I didn't see Showtime included in my plan. I might need the 11.99 plan to get Showtime?
