Re: Netflix: “Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét”

Unfortunately the initial investigation was less than thorough.  They would have benefited from having assistance from a more competent agency.

Even at this point the case, in its entirety, should be handed over to another agency for fresh eyes on the case and a review of each piece of evidence.

My understanding is that John Ramsey, several years ago requested of the governor that he assign it to a department other than the Boulder PD. I believe he wanted more advanced DNA testing done, and Boulder hasn't followed through.

I do not believe Jon Benet's brother was responsible. I do believe that because of the way the investigation was conducted, the PD and the media re-victimized the family.

A decent theory and the parents would have covered it up.

Re: Netflix: “Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét”

I am from Colorado and lived many years of my life in Boulder. I also worked for the Boulder County District Attorney's office for a time though not during the time when this crime occurred. During my time at the D.A.'s office I found law enforcement and prosecutors to be professional, dedicated, hard working public servants. This investigation may not have been perfect, but I don't believe it is fair to characterize Boulder law enforcement and prosecutors as completely inept. Other than the prosecutors and law enforcement, no one knows the extent of the evidence. I truly believe that they are just as determined as ever to find Jon Benet's killer and believe that someday they will.

Advancements in DNA testing will eventually solve the case, I'm sure of that.

I also believe her brother is the killer or involved.

I remember some of his interviews in the past and they should re-investigate him.
