And, yes, it's true I didn't find the movie that scary. Gory, yes, but not that jump-out-of-your-seat scary. hahahaha

I've got my grandson staying with me for a few days (he's too young to watch), but I will let you know if I end up watching the movie again after he leaves!

You and me both @Citrine1! We didn't watch last night because DS and his friends got back late. He's on his way back down right now. I told him I would be watching it again, and if I needed help understanding I would ask him! It'll be a while- I'm really busy at home and at work.

Awww, thanks @beach-mom! Yes, my time with my grandson is very special. Fortunately, he lives around the corner and we actually get to spend a lot of time together!!

Looks as though I am definitely in the minority here.

I did not care for the movie and had a tough time getting through it.

I know this thread is several months old but I just saw this movie on a free HBO preview over the weekend. I would never have paid to see it nor would I want to watch it again. I don't understand how it got such high reviews. It was a good movie, don't get me wrong, but not 5-stars from me...maybe 3 if that. Acting was very good I must say and some deep dark messages scattered throughout the film.
