Nifty English thriller, for Joanne Woodward fans, who are legion, or for fans of clever English suspense.

There's a real sort of mod, mid-Sixties feeling ( with a rural British kick!) to the decor, and the art direction in general, which I find so entertaining...

Joanne lives in a dreamy English country house that is a picturesque converted mill.  During her husband's absence on business, her home is invaded by an escaped psychiatric patient and ostensible murderer, (hunky Stewart Whitman).   A surprising relationship develops...

Catch dapper Edward Mulhare, on the far right, he of "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir" fame.

Love the twists and turns in this mystery!  As always, Woodward is plausible and lovely, with an interesting chemistry with the more 'earthy' Whitman....

TCM is goofy to program this rarely aired thriller at 7:45 a.m., but it's worth recording for viewing at a more auspicious time...

Oh, yeah, @Longtimewatcher ,  and @TexasMom1 ,  hope you like! For some reason, they don't air this very often, so not surprising few have seen it.  It is a bit off-beat, but fun.
