@kze You're right, site autocorrect changed it, and I didn't even notice it after I hit "post"! Thank you, I will go back and edit my post.

I think you are right, @Tinkrbl44 . I wondered why Olympia butted in there and joined the conversation, it was definitely a case of too many cooks spoiling the broth. It's like she couldn't stand not to be center stage in the limelight, she just had to insert herself into the situation. Maddie might have worn the target of her con down, but Olympia tipped the mark off, and the whole scheme came crashing down.

If it hasn't been noted yet, the "mystery woman" is makeup artist Debra Palmer.
She likely spent some time in Australia with Sr., but seems to have signed an NDA.
Fun fact: she is played by the always-watchable Melanie Lyskey, who in RL is married to - and has a daughter with - Jason Ritter.
Even better: Kathy Bates is her favorite actress so this part was a dream come true. 8)

I recognized her voice before I recognized Melanie. Do you know what else she has been in?

I think she ghosted Maddie at the end of the show because she recognized Olympia. Somewhere along the line, Senior must have shown her a picture of his son and DIL, or she had seen her in a newspaper story regarding a case.
It was obvious Olympia didn't consider she'd be recognized.
@Tinkrbl44 Good point!

A lot; she's been working pretty much non-stop since the 90s.
She's had many film and television roles.
From the movie that first got her noticed - 'Heavenly Creatures' - to the TV shows 'Two and a Half Men' and the recent 'Yellowjackets'.
BTW, she's a "Kiwi": a native New Zealander - who does great American accents. 8)
