Re: Married at First Sight - Houston

@AngelPuppy1  You said this so well and I agree wholeheartedly! It was the most callous bunch of couples, and singles, and whatever the outcasts, of season 13, are calling themselves now.

 How can fellow human beings treat each other like this? Also that smart ****** remark by jerkface Johnny, quote " Kevin, he (Gil) did not like that question"/unquoting the jerk. I still am not sure if lifeless Rachel actually said "Back off Johnny" or not, or if it was edited in, to at least allow some semblance of humanity, and common decency, in this tribe of retrobates. I think it was edited in as other people's body language was completely off, like Bao.

 I'm sorry, but if only Michaela,showed the decency, to exit the room, that reflects back  badly, on ALL of them.

Re: Married at First Sight - Houston

No need for spoiler the box @AngelPuppy1 , it was discussed on the other site as you thought.

Like you, I was sooo angry at Johnny and Myrla at their inhumanity to their fellow man.  Like mean high schoolers.  Myrla has the right to not want Gil but she should have said no on decision day.  But since she didn't, she should have had the decency to not taunt Gil.  Johnny has never had any shame.  Yet he wants us to believe that Bao was the big evil presence in their marriage.  Yeah, we see you, Evil Johnny!  Also, I think Johnny wanted Bao to think he was wanted by Myrla.  I don't know if she does or not but they are on each other's Instagram page laughing it up.  She said she was an introvert but looking at her Instagram page, she definitely is not.

Everybody looked uncomfortable except the two of them.  Ryan looked VERY uncomfortable.  Like you, I kind of hope this was scripted because it's sad to think people will treat each other like this for real.

I think this group thought they were the Australian MAFS because this is what they do....swap partners.  But they aren't really married.

Re: Married at First Sight - Houston

Brett looked absolutly dreadful in that dress! Way too baggy to carry off that look. Yuck!

Johnny ( such a major jerk) and Myrla were so heartless to act like that in front of Gil. I feel sorry that Gil ever gave Myrla a chance.

It was disgusting!  For lack of a better expression, it reminded me of the "mean girls" back in high school!

Any more, I don't know who has seen what, so I don't want to post something others have not seen!  Unless there is a lot we don't know, I am really tired of most of them acting like Bao is the bad one in the relationship between she and Johnny.  From what I could see when I watched, it's a wonder that young lady had once shred of self confidence left the way he was constantly at her!  I don't know what he sees when he looks in the mirror but --- sorry, Johnny ---  you ain't all that!

@colliegirls

According to what I have since read (if it's true), Myrla just played along saying yes on decision day because she didn't want to look bad on t.v..  According to what Gil said, she just pretty much playacted through the whole thing and so he was blindsided.  If she had just been honest throughout, he wouldn't have been so upset.  And he said he sold all his belongings, etc., so they could move in together and then 2 weeks later --- boom!

Re: Married at First Sight - Houston

Regarding the reunion show, where they went off to the ranch to stay, any thoughts?  I missed about the first 1/2 hour or so because my taping wasn't working right?  Did I miss anything noteworthy?  My taping started about where Myrla and Brett were going for Myrla to pick out a puppy for her.  I thought it was ridiculous for Johnny to make a big dramatic exit and leave after Bao arrived.  If he doesn't care, then why leave?  He is such a drama queen!  It's Johnny, Johnny, Johnny.  Another thing that really made me mad.  The part where he was having a face-to-face chat on his lap top with Bao's friend (ex-friend now).  Now, they are best friends and she and Bao are no longer friends.  He seems to be a destructive little man.  Also, when Rachel and Jose, and Myrla and then Johnny first arrived and they were sitting at the picnic table and they were saying something like -- well, here we are, the 2 best couples.  They were acting like --- we are the popular kids and this is our place and to heck with everybody else!!!  So immature, the whole lot of them!

Re: Married at First Sight - Houston

@AngelPuppy1  I don't think you missed very much that first half hour. Just in case I'll go back & let you know any "highlights", if any. My thoughts were that since Rachel & Jose were their supposed only success story for season 13, they kept dragging them out & featuring them 3/4 of the time..This was painful as I did not realize how boring they are. I hate to think that real married couples make marriage look that awful and boring, but they sure did..Sorry I've actually never commented about "those 2" this season as there just wasn't anything to say.

As far as the "getaway" and the way the new found buddies, namely Jose & Rachel, & Myrla & Johnny,dissed the "incoming" cast members, as they arrived,that was so Junior High childish. Ryan being by himself, along with his dog Maize, sortof looked out of place, & uncomfortable. I guess Bao, Ryan and Zack had been teaming up to play pool, so they arrived together, and I'm sure they had talked beforehand that if the thing went South, they were out of there. It was probably the most boring episode I've had the misfortune to watch..

@GypsyVanner

Thanks for your post!  I agree with all your comments.  This thing with Rachel and Jose --- also, I don't know what all he supposedly did that was so bad --- I mean, they showed that time he locked her out of the house and talked to her very disrespectfully --- which was bad --- but --- how many times does he have to apologize --- and how many times does this have to be hashed out???  I mean --- from the way they make it look --- she just wants him to grovel at her feet over and over again.  I mean, speaking from experience, if you have to work as hard at marriage as they are all saying --- then, it's just not working --- walk away!  In any relationship ---- married or not --- people make mistakes --- if you care about each other --- you forgive and get on with it.  And this thing about Rachel and Jose living apart and just seeing each other once a week --- ridiculous.  Either you want to be married or you don't!  I think if I were Jose, I'd just say if you are going to hold this over my head forever and you can't decide to move in with me the way married couples do, then just forget it!

And yes, the cast memebers --- very Junior High and immature!  So many of them seem so self-indulgent and not prepared or even really wanting to be in a marriage or a committed relationship.  It's just --- me, me, me --- fun, fun, fun!

Re: Married at First Sight - Houston

[ Edited ]

@AngelPuppy1, I don't remember exactly but Jose also was dictating what she brought to his house.  Remember early on when the couples was visiting each other's homes and Jose got to Rachel house and he started telling her things that shouldn't be around?  I remember some gallon jugs were near the entryway and he whined that it shouldn't be there.  I guess it was stuff like that.  He wants his house like he wants it.

I'd like to know what he thought about Rachel and Myrla traveling and hanging out so much.  I'm sure she influenced Rachel somewhat since we now know Myrla was not the quiet mouse she portrayed herself to be.  Nor was she an introvert.  Complete opposite.
