Thought I would start this for us. Haven't watched the matchmaking special from last night yet, but hope to today.
Please put any spoilers in a spoiler box so posters can choose what they want to see.
Looking forward to another season of everyone's comments. Let's hope Nashville is better than the last few seasons and we see some good interaction and positive relationships develop, with less unnecessary drama.
I watched last night and I'm really excited for this season since I Live in Nashville. All of the couples always look so promising when the season starts....and then you get to know them! Haha. I don't know why I love this show so much, but I do! LOL
@bayflwc I saw the intros on all the couples and decided to skip this season. I'm not interested enough about any of them to spend my time watching.
I strugged with the last 2 seasons and realized that the only successful couple from the last 3 years was Brianna and Vincent (I think their baby must have been already born.)
My sense is that casting the show from whatever location they choose has become more and more difficult (regardless of what the producers say) because the pitfalls of being on the show are so well known and fewer viable candidates are willing to be filmed. I got the sense that many of the participants are on the show to gain a monetary foothold on social media rather than being interested in spending their lives with the match chosen for them.
Also, the concept of "marriage" in the traditional sense has been on the wane and those who do want to marry wish to do so in a more traditional manner.
@pdlinda, as of this weekend, she hadn't had that baby, poor thing, lol. She is huge! Carrying the baby and a big old fibroid that's growing with the baby. (I read Instagram pages of old caste members from time to time. Lindsey has a new man and he's all over her page. I'm waiting to see him disappear).
“You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore to be happy”. (By Nightbirde, singer of the song, It’s Ok)
I think their names are Clint and Gina. Christopher and Nicole, I'm not sure about either. Nicole kind of reminds me of my son's GF who can be rather boisterous, loud and full of herself, so already not a fan of hers. Time will tell of course. JMO.
Tonight's 2 hour episode will be interesting to see/hear who the "panel" thinks will make it. I also saw that some previous ones from the past might be there.
When Dr.Pepper and Pastor Cal were matching them up, I was already going --- No -- No --- not that one --- don't put him with her! Yikes! I think they were seeing after interviewing each one and then going to their homes that there was a lot that they liked about each one of them, and they had their favorites! However, a person can seem as nice as pie --- individually --- and have a lot of great qualities ---- but then paired with the wrong person --- and POW --- combustion and misery!
I must try to keep an open mind!

@bayflwc@Goldengate8361@AngelPuppy1,@Free2be,@HisElk1@Mmsfoxxie@Beach-mom %tends2dogs,@Eatmycat &ALL MAFER's If I never see Noi again, it will be too soon! The atmosphere was so tense when she entered the room. Kevin always "cow tows" to the poor trodden upon female, and ole Noi was playing that angle to no end. Too bad we couldn't hear Steve, Nate and Justin's side of this. I do think Bao got the short end of the stick, not once but twice.
Mark and Stacia and Alexis were there, that's all I'm going to say. All three showpieces in the MAFS parade of players. oops, I said more.
I see they added a guy to the panel who was actually pretty spoton when he asked Noi about her social media presense vs Steve's desire for privacy. She was a little shell shocked that anyone would dare question her. Nicole (of the Kev frasier panelists) the tall one, sitting next to Kevin is such a fake.
I guess we got to see some previews for Season 16 that were never shown before, except in the 1001 Lifetime ad previews.
I actually had high hopes for the one couple that I already see previews of her (will wait and not spoil it) walking out, and the guy saying "That was a really low blow". hmm.
I was surprised to see one bride (See below as I need to rewatch it).
I'm thinking it was Kirsten of the Kirsten/Shaq matchup) correct me if I'm wrong. That's why the spoiler. Spoiler
^^^ She's in a tizzy on wedding day as her own Mother was visably absent from the wedding set. She also seems to have set her phone with an option so no one can disturb her. Weird!
It was also shocking to see Airris getting berated and lectured by a female cousin about how this was a mistake. They show a clip of his Mother (his Dad was killed when he was 11 years old), reminding him that he can still call it off. Some supportive family Airris seems to have. Not!
He's matched with Jasmine, a preachers daughter, with a loving supportive family. She grew up in Murfreesboro, TN. She resides there currently.
Should be full of surprises this season. Never a dull moment!
edited to add: After I learned all their last names I did some sleuthing on social media. I found quite a bit on all the five ladies, esp. Nicole. She grew up in NY. Gina's was more about her business as a salon owner. Dominique's sortof opened my eyes as to her past dating style and "types" and Mackinley does not fit into that criteria. Kirsten is very "type A", in her dressing and her surroundings, including her lifestyle. Not as much on Jasmine but she is also one of the FEW locally grown as they say, the other 9 are pretty much ALL transplants.
Mackinley moved to Tennessee from MI, where his cannabis (CBD) business is not legal. Clint was in NY prior to and has had sailing in his blood all his life. Airris is the one I would quess "was a player". He's very much into fitness & family. Airris and Mackinley are friends on social media. Shaq is the educator and Exec. Dir. of the TSU Univ. -w- a PHD. Chris Thielk (Mr. Nice Guy), I found very little about. He likes dogs and he's with a tech. company. Was in Chicago prior to Nashville move.
