I read the book before the movie came out, it was a quick page turner and scary as I recall.  The movie was disturbing and tragic and affected me at the time.

In had no idea this was based on a true story. I was a little girl in New York when this happened. I remember seeing many reading this book on the subway. The true story was made into an episode on A Crime to Remember on the ID Discovery channel. Season 3 episode 2 called Last Night Stand. I'm watching it now on the app on my Roku. Very disturbing.

Another disturbing movie is American Psycho though I thought it was a good movie.

I haven't seen this movie in a long long time, can't even remember most of it. Will have to watch for it and watch it again.
