@Mz iMac I watched this on the Movies channel last week, hadn't seen it in decades. Finally, I got bored and didn't watch the end.
I just read the recap, and didn't remember the ending, but it was to be expected, one leading such a life usually ends badly.

@mousiegirl I haven't seen this movie in decades either! Paramour alerted me this a.m. it was on tonight. He watched it for the first time last week. He forgot to tell me about it then.
The ending is the best part! One of those watch w/1 eye open type scenes. @ RG.

@Mz iMac The only part of the movie that I had remembered was when she opened the passenger side of a car and jumped on, must have been Gere, didn't see that this time as I tuned in a little late. At the time, I was shocked at this scene, lol, young and innocent I was at that time.

SUCHA GOOD MOVIE - with a STILL RELEVANT TALE TODAY!
I lived with gal pal when I was going through my divorce in our early 30s.
She was out every night - bringing home strangers on the daily.
She was a beligerent drunk, not a great recipe for safety.
I was always worried she'd end up attacked and dead, then her place would be ransacked - only for the guy to realize she had a caged pittie and a roomie. I was only with her for about 4 months, I never felt safe with her.
She lived a far too dangerous existence.
She refused help - said she liked her life the exact way it was.
She ended up getting arrested for public intoxication, then went onto rehab, it may have saved her from herself.
Last I saw her she was a sober, gorgeous woman taking a healthy happy pittie for a walk - she and her dog looked better for the turn of events that lead them there.
I'm grateful she never found Mr. Goodbar.

I remember seeing this movie, I found it disturbing at the time.

Disturbing and very distasteful. Terrible move with a catchy title.
