in the 5th and final season the show moved from nbc to cbs and cbs thought it would generate a newer, younger audience with a younger cast. I think it was just a ploy to fire Blake and DeFore for unknowns who worked a lot cheaper. 

 

I agree.

I read that Don Defore found out that he was being replaced in Season 5, when he read the newspaper.

Ummm.....no, I really didn't care for it when Steven Barbara took over for Missy and Mr. B. It just wasn't the same. That's when the show got canceled. It was a lack of chemistry and acting.
