Happy January!
Come on in!
*******************************************
Once a year Reminders:
We are a passionate group and sometimes we go a bit overboard getting our point(s) across. Be respectful of each other and our diverse opinions.
If there's something that displeases you about the thread, here's a novel idea: Make it your mission to change it for the better. Hmmmm...someone did that.
*******************************************
It has been one year since Tracy returned to Port Charles with the news of Luke's recent demise.
Since the beginning of the December thread:
Thank you to the three people who read last month's first post and subsequently answered the December QOTM.
This month's questions focus on the past and the future.
January Question(s) of the Month:
If neither question appeals to you no explanation is necessary.
*******************************************************
Last month I asked this question regarding last year: How was it for you? Since there were few answers I'm going to ask another version of that question. It may be something you don't want to answer here but at least think about it and answer it for yourself. Do you feel like the past couple of years have impacted your life permanently? If so, was this change positive or negative.
As we usher in a new year I reflect on what previous goals I have met and if they need to be replaced with new ones One of them was met; the outcome exceeded my expectations which seldom happens. Time for new goals which in my case means reallocating my time. I will spend less time on this message board. Most of that will be used to maintain my current role on this thread.
w
Predictions involving our nation's current health status are in a state of fluctuation. Not going to get into that but will issue my Reminders: Don't get careless. Stay aware and educated. Make informed decisions.
Thank you for reading.
Keep being an active participant on the GH threads.
Please and thank you. ♥️

@Tique Hello and Happy New Year!
Not being a Debbie Downer but just for reference..
I'm an old time GH fan though I no longer watch...it's just not the kind of show it was for me anymore...
too much weirdness lately, and new characters that to me have nothing to do with GH's legacy, people I don't know or care about. I've tried from time to time to tune in again and maybe watched a few epsisodes...I thought having Genie back would keep me there...but she didn't have enough storyline last time I checked. I'm old school...I'm still mad they broke her and Luke up, lol...and always will be. GH 80's/90's was my favorite.
But all that said...
I'm curious....I'm wondering how they will handle Sonya Eddy's passing and explain away Ephiphany's absense.

@amyb how ironic you stopped in today. I read something you posted on another thread over the weekend.
Not being negative on the first day of the year but being truthful, I don't have much confidence in GH doing an appropriate tribute to Ms Eddy. I posted this on the December thread for one of our ladies who posed a similar thought as yours.

...I plan to include a "Remembering Epiphany" post on either the January or February thread. I'll notify those I think might be interested in reading some of our comments and re-watching clips of a few of her memorable scenes. Of course there'll be pictures.
Mine will be more of a celebration of the character of Epiphany than a memorial.
If you'd like I will make sure you get a notification for the above. Let me know. Stop by and say hi even though you no longer watch. Happy 2023!

January Question(s) of the Month:
- What one word or phrase would you use to describe the 2022 year of General Hospital
- If you could advise Frank & Co on how
hethey could improve the show, what would be one/some of your suggestions?
1. SLOOOW
2. Move along the storylines. Some move so slow I tend to forget about them Like who the heck is Austin's cousin Mason and what is he holding over Austin? By this point the storyline and both characters are irrealevant. And what the heck are super sleths Valentine and Anna doing about finding Lucy Coe? And please let Josslyn find Cameron and break up with him before he finds out about her and Dex on his own.
I don't pay attention half the time I am watching b/c nothing really interesting rearely happens. It would help if the plots moved faster, then I would have to pay attention to know what going on.

Hijacked from the December thread:
@SleeplessinSD wrote:Since Britt is leaving the show, I think she will save Joss and be the one to get hooked and not survive. I saw this photo of the 'Hook'. It's hard to tell if it's a man or woman..

Sure @Tique you can include me in the people you alert about your Ephiphany tribute. Tks.
I wonder who will take her place at the front desk at GH. They'll have to say something I'd think....even if it's that she took another opportunity elsewhere. Or....maybe they'll try to recast. Though it seems she had one of those personalities that would be hard to recast.

Please include me in your celebration of the character, Epiphany. Merci beau coup.
