@Oznell I enjoyed The Invaders when it first came out, and still enjoy it occasionally now (thanks to your alerting us to it about a year ago). But I thought the production values were cheesy even way back then (and understandably seem even cheesier now). What keeps me from watching more often is that poor David Vincent (unlike Richard Kimble) had so little interaction with the people he encountered along the way. The character's emotions ran the gamut from A to B (not RT's fault by any means -- he did the best with what he was given). Still, it's an interesting aftifact from its time, and as always I'm grateful to you for heralding its revival!

Another thing about the Invaders. The producers of the show did not want to show what the Invaders looked like, but there was an extra special good one titled "The Enemy".
B. Barrie plays a VN nurse and tries to save an Invader played by Richard Anderson and we get to see a little of what the Invaders look like.
Another great one is Vikor and it stars Jack Lord.

@Group 5 minus 1, I'm thinking that one with Peter Graves rings a bell. I will have to look it up-- we have the DVD's too, but I hate dragging them out, would rather watch the MeTV airing! "Vikor" which you mention, the one with Jack Lord, Diana Hyland and Alfred Ryder, is probably my all-time favorite...

@vsm, I love getting a different perspective from you on the show! I'll push back, just a little! You are right, undoubtedly, about the production values re: all the sci fy effects-- like when the invaders "dissolve" before our very eyes, the trademark crooked little finger, some of the space ship stuff, etc.
The production values I look for in the show have to do more with the sets and interiors (no surprise!), more than anything. I love the cool, late 60's set design, the rich saturated colors of the interiors, etc. Even in the first episode, when David Vincent is shown in his architectural office with his partner, and then in his hip little apartment before the fire, I LOVE all that!
Other interiors were just perfect for their particular characters, i.e. the aforementioned Jack Lord's kind of semi-luxe, 'nouveau riche' surroundings-- exactly what he WOULD have and would think was great!
And I love the way they costumed Roy Thinnes. Granted, they had a lot to work with, ha. But he had great suede jackets, etc., in colors that were fab for enhancing blue eyes-- French blue, olive, and various taupe-y shades...
When they put him in a jacket and tie, he was also impeccably turned out, in a very prepster way...
The art direction in at least those, "non-technical" categories was really good, and I really respond to that visual stuff...
