Agreed. They used to have a much wider variety of shows, focussing on all different types of design and designers. Some of them were quite quirky. Most were interesting.
I liked a lot of them, especially the ones that showed "difficult" interiors being rescued with little money spent and few purchases-- just using what the owner had, and the designer's own ingenuity.
Not sure why HGTV made the decision to drastically reduce the scope of their programming, and present such a "homogenized" line-up.
