America's Got Talent "Nightbirde, who so impressed Simon Cowell (who pressed the Golden Buzzer for her) and the other judges with her voice and attitude while battling cancer, died Sunday at age 31. The cancer had spread to her lungs, spine and liver.  She had withdrawn from the competition when her health took a turn for the worse.

I'm so sorry to hear this.  I don't watch the show but just happened to turn it on the night she was on and Simon pushed the buzzer.  She was such a beautiful soul.  RIP

Just read the TMZ article which went into more detail about her living  much longer than the doctors had expected her to. And, Howie Mandel posted a sweet note online about her (I expect Cowell to put something out too).

@Pearlee:  sad news...  I remember Simon/AGT’s acknowledgement and well wishes of her illness at the time.

She was so talented and will be greatly missed.

@Pearlee - I know, he realized what truth and impact was in that statement. Simon does have a heart and it showed with her, how could it not. She was so sweet. 

I also had a very aggressive type of breast cancer with a prognosis of 3 years and here I am 9 years later, but I tell you it was to H&LL and back going through the strongest chemos they could give me, plus the radiation, but I'm alive which is what I was wishing for her.  What she must have went through, always with a smile on her face. 
Too young, so much to live for, such a tragedy

Her voice was so angelic. Her courage inspired many.
