I just wanted to let you know how much I really love the new line of clothing you've been presenting.  Unfortunately, though I've been waiting for the summer line with the idea of refreshing my wardrobe now that I've lost some weight, it's not going to happen via QVC.

I recently returned a dress ( not your), and found my refund to be 57 cents.  When I inquired through customer service as to why it was so little, I was told that QVC has added a $3.00 restocking fee per item.  Though I have never had a problem paying for shipping on returned items, I object to paying a fee for re-stocking.  So, though I adore your clothes, this year, I will not be ordering more than one or two items, if any.  Since I'm always tempted to make a purchase when I watch your show and some of the others, I won't be watching QVC at all unless I want something specific that I can only get there.

I'm not sure who the corporate genius was who implemented the new fee, but, as far as I'm concerned, it's a bogus and cheesy way to get more money out of customers...many of whom spend quite a bit as it is.  I don't think I'm exaggerating to make the assumption that QVC was making a ton of profit as it was.

I can (will) go to a "brick and mortar" store (most of which are always having sales these days anyway) and make purchases...and if I need to return an item, there will be no fees for returning and restocking.  Though not as concenient as shopping from my sofa, when all is taken together,  it will save me quite a bit of money.

At any rate Susan, I will close by saying you and your team are immensely talented designers, and I will miss seeing the lovely items you present on you show.

By any chance was your item returned after 30 days?  I never check to see what my refund is.  I guess I better start paying attenton.

So...you bought a dress for $3.57???  I've never paid a restocking fee.

A lot of the shipping charge is $3 and now we are not refunded the shipping charge like we used to be (changed almost a year ago) so maybe that was what it was. Probably the customer service person just said that but didn't really know what it was.

I also don't think the customer service people seem to be as knowledgeable as they used to be.

The customer service rep said the new fee was implemented around the first of the year...don't remember if she said Jan or Feb.

The refund was .57 because the cost of the dress was broken into four payments.

The shipping was $6.95 and the added fee for re-stocking was $3.  The dress might have been on clearance...once again, I don't remember.

If my husband hadn't been checking our finances, the refund would have slipped right by us.

No there is not. QVc no longer refunds original shipping and many posters are getting this confused and saying its a restocking fee.

There was no restocking fee, the $3 was the original S&H you paid to get the dress to you. $3.00 + $6.95 = $9.95 that was deducted from your refund. If you bought the item on easy pay, 9.95 was deducted from whatever your first easy pay installment was.

FWIW, on another thread Brittany-QVC (one of the Social Team) confirmed there is NOT a restocking fee. They withhold the original shipping fee, but there is no additional fee for restocking.  They've been withholding the original shipping fee for over a year, it is not a new policy.

Not sure Susan reads these blogs but I was surprised to find her pieces being sold on Zulily...Guess she can't say she is exclusive to QVC anymore!
