It's one thing if an item takes some time to arrive once it is shipped but I can't understand why sometimes an item ships within a day and other times it takes a week for an item to ship. One item, one bag and you still have to wait mail time on top of the initial ship time. I have asked customer service and the response was "I don't know". I'd still complain if it was free shipping but on top of that, I'm paying for the shipping.

Anyone who reads news or watches TV ought to be able to figure out that these aren't normal times and transportation and the supply chain are in chaos. Ships are having to wait in line off the West Coast to unload. Goods are not arriving on time so there are unavoidable delays. Whether or not you pay for shipping has nothing to do with its arrival. Now do you understand?

Simple solution - don't sell an item if you don't have it in stock! B&M stores can't! I can't go into William Sanoma and buy a pot if they don't have it! But they can tell me their shipment has been delayed and should be back in stock in 2 weeks! That I understand. Supply chain delays are different than shipping a purchased item from seller to buyer.

@mspatmac I haven't been in a b&m store in years but I hear frequent reports that they are often poorly stocked and have little in the way of new merchandise. I guess you have a choice of waiting a few days for something to arrive or doing without.

I'm trying to figure out why my Marigold watering can has nothing that says the order is being prepared, etc. It's been 12 days since I ordered it and the item is available in all colors. I don't understand why QVC doesn't at least provide an explaination for their customers. I understand there have been delays in transporting goods from factories and in shipping to customers. However, I would like to know if there is a reasonable delay or if my order has been forgotten!
