Re: please no more live audience shows!!

I plan on going to a QVC live show within the next few months. Starr Tours does them all the time.

I did notice that all the QVC tours are in the evening. None in the day time.

You get to tour QVC studios, meet the hosts & hostesses, see how the shows are set up, etc. Towards the end of the tour, you get to be part of the live audience.

What was news to me, is that there is a QVC store inside QVC headquarters. {#emotions_dlg.tt1} {#emotions_dlg.thumbup} This will give me a chance to try on a few things as I do not understand QVC sizings.

Re: please no more live audience shows!!

I'm with the OP, I do not like the live audience shows either. But then again, I can't stand the testimonial calls either, I change the channel every time one comes on. Just focus on the product, show it, describe it and then I can decide if I want to buy it.

I guess it depends on why you watch the Q. If you watch for entertainment, like a reality show or sitcom, then you would probably like the live shows. If you watch just to purchase, like me, then you will not.

Re: please no more live audience shows!!

I've never seen one, but a couple people have told me they are truly awful ...... like they went out with a bus and picked up a bunch of badly dressed people loitering, and promised to give them a meal.

Based on the OP's assessment, I'm not going to make it a priority to see a live show! {#emotions_dlg.thumbdown}

How in the world, does one clap, so that it sounds fake?

QVC airs 24 hrs a day. I'm hoping that no one watches that much {#emotions_dlg.lol}I'm sure even QVC would agree; having a bunch of sleep deprived, shopping fanatics, on the loose, could be scary!

Picking and choosing what you want to watch, is a good thing, and there's nothing wrong with us having own own tastes.

They hold up signs that say clap, laugh etc.

It is all so phony I can't stand it when they have the live shows.

Don't worry, be Happy!

All live shows anywhere do that on tv - not just QVC.

Re: please no more live audience shows!!

It doesn't bother me. The host takes time away from the show to talk to someone in the audience, but I consider that the same as the chatting between the host and product rep.

Ha! Now, that was funny (sorry, I had to un-scream the post because it hurt my eyes).

Here's the thing (BTW, I see that this was a hit-n-run by the OP, so that speaks volumes) - It's not all about you - or any of us.

Some people like it. Some people don't. So? Watch what you like and don't watch what you like. I find that pretty easy to handle.

I see so much of this on this board - people saying they need to stop having this kind of show or stop having that kind of show...because one person doesn't like it. Really?

It's also amusing that some folks will say their little kids enjoy watching QVC. Really? ha! That just makes me chuckle. Smiley Happy

I was disappointed in the store. It's been a few years since I was there, but it was very small. It stocks a "representative sampling" of QVC items. I thought it would be more like a flagship store. Guess they don't want to devote the space that would require.
