I  would like to know who determines the size nd fit of the host's clothes.. First order QVC 1995. Here I am. I realize the hosts need to wear the fashion they represent, but the style nd size need to be correct. Some of the fabulous hosts, and they are among the best, well-loved, have gained weight, all fine, but the correct clothing and size should be uppermost when on camera. No one is bashing weight gain, sometimes needed to show the look on plus-size women, that's all good, but wear the correct size and coverage, which the customer needs to see. Sometimes I feel frustrated for the host as I cannot believe they feel comfortable when not dressed for camera viewing.. Eat, drink, and be merry in the best-fitting clothing. Thnks a committed customer.

Re: dressing hosts

Jane T has told us that she and her stylist go over the schedule for her shows each week and they both pick out her outfits for the upcoming week.

It sounds as though they are trying to feature the apparel of the vendors they are hosting, so she is always dressed to promote that vendor's clothing.   Kim Gravel, for example.   Clearly the problem comes up when the vendor doesn't have anything that really suits her size and shape, as we have often observed with Gravel, and Graver, too.

You note she never hosts Barefoot Dreams, LOGO, or Peace Love World shows unless some other host has dropped out.

I have noticed that recently the super-tight pants that "show everything" have disappeared.

To me it doesn't matter how the hosts/models wear the clothes. What I look for is the garment measurements chart to see where my body measurements fall into the sizes given in that chart. I depend on that chart to give me accurate information. I don't rely on how clothing appears on someone else. Looks can be deceiving.

@SilleeMee   Then why have TV shopping at all?  I have found it helpful to see clothing on people who have a similar shape to mine.  If I just read the measurements, which I always do, may as well buy from any vendor.

I like to see the fabric up close on air which sometimes they do and sometimes not. Plus I like to see the way the fabric moves or falls away and get a 'feel' for the hand of the fabric on air which is not possible with just a picture on a website. So TV presentations aren't all wasteful.

IMHO I have to agree. There's nothing worse than ill fitting clothes. Just like a poorly fitted bra and panty can alter your shape and create lumps and bumps that aren't usually there, poorly fitting clothes could do the same. I would not be enticed to buy a piece of clothing if it doesn't compliment the wearer. If it doesn't look good on them, what makes me think it'll look good on me?

The model Jackie is oftenut in very tight pants. I recently saw her in proper fitting straight leg pants and she looked fabulous.

Shawn often wears crops too tight. She was wearing a Fall jacket of Martha S and Martha asked what size ate you wearing? Shawn said an XS. Martha

said "go up a size, this style jacket should never be tight." And Martha was right!

@Desertdi. Not on NYDJ shows they haven't disappeared. They're still alive and well.

I doubt QVC has every size there on the set.  Samples are ordered in the  size to fit certain models and hosts that are supposed to present it. But things change.

What are you supposed to do if there is no garment in your exact size?  You make do, that's what

I often see the models in shoes that clearly don't fit well.
