Maybe it's just me but maybe others agree.  I don't need a pocketbook with credit card slots and such.  I need a simple purse that I can carry my wallet, checkbook, phone, and keys in.  Plus it doesn't have to be big.

I would also like to see the cool weather jackets include internal pockets for when I don't need anything but my wallet but it is secure.

@braindeadbabs    Do people really carry a fist full of credit cards with them at all times?  I pay for all purchases with my debit card and leave all other credit cards safely at home.  What a nightmare if those slots were full and the bag was lost or stollen.  I never use any of them.

@braindeadbabs  Personally I wouldn't dream of carrying around a credit card unless I plan to use it. I buy groceries and Rx's with my debit card.

Haven't written a check in years, pay all my bills online. I have a very slim wallet that meets my needs and fits nicely in my purse.

Personally I wouldn't use a debit card ever for a purchase.  I only use it to get cash when I need it.

I always use my credit card and I can cancel it and not get charged for any  fraudulent activity.  I had to do this in the past.  I feel safer with a cc rather than a debit one which is connected to my bank account.

As for slots in bags, I carry a Brighton organizer bag called Jagger cross body.  I carry it across my body. It has a built in wallet which eliminates the need for a wallet.  I understand the fear of losing a bag but it's never happened to me yet and I live and stay in a very safe and low crime area.  One can lose a wallet just as easily.

I use a lotof the slots in my wallet for things like medical business cards, my autoclub card, etc not necessarily a pocket full of credit cards.

All of my crossbody bags (the only ones I have) have several credit card slots.  My favorite has 8.  Would not buy a purse that did not have slots.

I never use a debit card except at the ATM.

@haddon9 I know many who feel as you do about a debit card. I am lucky that my bank will cover *any* kind of loss, a hack, stolen, etc.

I get cash when I buy my groceries so no need to use an ATM or go to the bank.

I only pay cash for my gas. Wouldn't dream of using a debit card for that.

I don't understand why anyone would use a debit card. They offer none of the extended warranties, points, or cash back that most credit cards do. The bank will reimburse for fraud, but your funds are tied up until the claim is processed. No thanks! Our cards are paid off every couple of weeks so we never pay interest.

@haddon9   There's some kind of myth that using a debit card carries more risk than a credit card.  At most banks, A debit card has the exact same protections as a credit card.

@Love to Run  You are mistaken. I posted above that I use it for groceries (I also get cash when I buy food) and my Rx's. MY bank covers anything untoward that could happen with my card: If it gets stolen and used (tho how they could without my PIN I don't know), hacked or lost, EVERYTHING is covered.

So don't make judgments without all the facts. Any other shopping at B&M or online is with CC only.

I would never use a debit card online and don't know why anyone would.
