Did they show the dress on a petite model?I didn’t notice one but I only briefly tuned in.

They show it on the website under the item description...pictures on 3 models all different sizes.  Looks horrendous on the 5'2" model, of course....and most insulting that they think we don't know any better. Lori/QVC...I'm over it.  Movin' on.

BTW petites....I used to work for LOFT...they still have a whole petite dept.  Not everything is for me there, but many cute things, for all demos....I especially love that they have petite dresses, maxis especially, which are way too long in "missy" for petites.

It'll be interesting to see this on Amy tonight.  But she'll wear super high heels to make it work.  I have a lot of maxi dresses but I must have a petite.

I think a lot of things they dress her in are different specifications.  They're certainly not going to make her wear something that doesn't fit or that looks out of proportion to her height.  They will jerry rig it so she looks fab and beautiful.

It always make me laugh when as a sales pitch for clothing which will be too long for  shorter women, the hosts and sometimes the vendors will say if worn with heels the length will be fine. Wearing heels doesn't make a dress or pants, which are too long hit the wearer in the right place to give the garment the appearance of fitting properly.  Heels may keep the garment from dragging on the ground, but that isn't the same thing as good fit.  Also, the customer may be someone who never wears 4-inch heels even if they are platform wedges.  It is amazing that the buyers simply don't order everything in a least a small quantity of petite sizes. If they asked for it the vendors would be happy to comply.

@Trix I saw a Susan Graver presentation for a skirt the other day where they said that if you're petite, then roll the waistband over. Woman Frustrated I'm not spending that much money on a skirt that doesn't fit properly.

It's insulting when they tell a petite woman to roll the waistband to make something shorter. They don't tell short men to roll the waistband on their pants, they offer many inseams on jeans or they offer tailoring on slacks. I would imagine all these fashions are configured on a computer, so I don't know why it should be that difficult to offer a proportioned petite size.
