As for your Fashion category example, the posts are listed by the last post on each topic so that is why they are in the order they are in. Does that make sense?

 

Another thing you can try is when you click into a category - say Fashion - before you open a thread you can click on the Topics Option dropdown next to the New Message red button and change the order you see things like List by Topics or Sort by latest post.

Thank you for responding and I don't expect a reply, but doesn't this seem exceptionally complicated to you? It does to me and I work on a large consumer website everyday!

WHY is there no way to keep the original post at the top?

 

This was the format of the previous version of this board.  Surely one of your software engineers could change the programming to alter this (and so much more that is very uncomfortable in this new format).
