When I order an item..........

and it doesn't arrive ,,why do I have to wait 17 days to get it reported as not delivered and then another 5 days after that for a refund? That is almost a month of you having my money for an item I never got.

 

Does that make sense ???  Other companies credit me immediately when I call and tell them it was never delivered.

I think they add the extra days on in the event it shows up at your house or theirs.  The q has never refunded before a return is received or a certain amount of time has passed for missing items.  I bet it adds a ton of administrative work to follow up that things happened as expected.  I don't like the policy, but I'm used to it and know what to expect.

QVC is very fair with lost merchandise. I sent back a Dooney and Bourke bag awhile ago. They did not get it . I panicked. They told me sometimes it stays in the post office for a few extra days. Just check back. Well they were right. Purse sent back and refund. Now I won't send anything back unless they scan the package in front of me. QVC told me if if is lost they would credit me. That is good business. I never had a problem with QVC in customer service. The best.
