So I'm not posting as much as I used to, but just submitted a post. When I clicked on "post," I got a message saying I had an invalid HTML, it had been removed, and if my post was satisfactory to me, I could submit it. I didn't quote anyone, I didn't post any links, so I'm wondering - WHAT DOES THIS MEAN and how can I prevent it from happening again???

This ridiculous board is garbage. Everything about Q has gone to the pitts.

Did you copy text or images from another site?

When I copy and paste from another site it says that. I just click to post, and it does. Everything always posts exactly as I had wanted it to.

Beach,
That happened to me...was typing the word that included the letters 'f-a-r-t' at the end of the word "brain-" ...... and I had to change it by adding hyphens as I just did. QVC does not want us to offend anyone by accident.

Is this is the message in question?
"Your post has been changed because invalid HTML was found in the message body. The invalid HTML has been removed. Please review the message and submit the message when you are satisfied."
If so, the system is just checking for problematic HTML. Even using something as simple as an emoticon seems to generate the message at times. Often, there's embedded code we can't see.
Just go ahead and submit your post, and then review it. You'll likely see that nothing has been changed, but if you want you always can edit your post or completely delete it if you choose to.

I've seen that message, dooBdoo. Nothing about the thing I'm about to post changes or gets removed, but it says that anyway. I figured it removed something invalid or the like.

Thank you. That is the message I received, and as far as I could tell, nothing had been changed when the "removed" version was sent. I just didn't understand it. I didn't quote anything, I didn't post a link, and I didn't spell out a possible questionable word. I do use emoticons. Thank you again for explaining!

You're welcome, @beach-mom! I can see why it's a wee bit jarring to see it.![]()

I happens to me, too, and I've been wondering if there was a way to avoid it, but now I just won't worry about it. Thanks all, for asking the question and for providing the info.
