Re: Vendors Talking Over Hosts

It was too funny tonight, Sunday, at l0 PM with Courtney hosting Susan Graver show. Nothing fazes Courtney and she doesn't care whose talking as she just drones on and on and on, while Susan is hyper talking. It was quite an unusual combination, and one that might give you a migraine. 8)

That pairing would be a deal-breaker for me, as well. Similarly, Susan and Amy together would have me quickly reaching for the remote.

Hey, handy. Actually, I was mesmerized by the happening. Amy is not quite as competitive as Courtney is, but she holds her own with anybody.

Re: Vendors Talking Over Hosts

No one will EVER be able to stop JRT from being so rude as to talk over anyone presenting on the Q; however, cooking guy Bob Warton [sp], he is the absolute WORST guest or vendor or whatever he's suppose to be- rude, nasty, angry, thinks he owns the entire show... horrible! Don't know HOW David puts up with him, but he does... after all, when Bob Warton had an on-air heated exchange with Bob Bowersocks some years ago, we all know who got the boot (though it was pretty funny to watch!)

I don't see what the big deal is about the host and vendor talking at the same time, it adds a little spice to the presentation.

Don't worry, be Happy!

{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1} I totally agree! I recall watching a computer presentation. During the presentation we where told what software came with it, the product specs, showed how to hook it, how to do a few things on it, and they took a couple phone calls...by just a female host in less then 12 minutes. Now they spend an hour where the guests just talks about it and the hosts just tells the customers the price and colors it comes in.

Another presentation I recall seeing was an alarm clock. All the guest did was plug it in and unplug it. He was asked by the female host(who was a self proclaimed dummy when comes to electronics) to show the International clock feature on it, he didn't know where it was at and the female host showed him where it was at.

I recall hearing many guests tell a recently departed host, they weren't needed. That she knew how to describe the product better then they did.

Re: Vendors Talking Over Hosts

Tara McConnell does this a lot. Interjects her little quips like "love that" when the host is running through color options. Or the obligatory "my mother collects this color", "my kids' babysitter collects Old World blue", "this is the color David collects." Yesterday I heard her say something like "Here's our tangerine which Markcharles collects." I almost busted out laughing. Like anyone would run to the phone after hearing that Markcharles, another vendor, "collects" a certain color of Temptations.

Re: Vendors Talking Over Hosts

With all due rerepect,Susan Graver has never learned to stop taling over somebody. So very

rude..

She also dances around like a little girl..It's too much of one personality. I'm not a big buyer of Graver fashion ;it does not help when she goes on...and on. I feel for the hosts.

QVC-let's have some calming down here.

Honest girl.

GCR, you are just being way too nice lately. I liked a little bit of that "sassy" side of you! SmileWink
