Re: Using the word "Stinkin"

I have always hated it when people say stinkin cute. Those two words do not belong in the same sentence.

Re: Using the word "Stinkin"

This is the most stupid post I've read on these Forums, lolol.  Someone must have been bored.  I've never in my life come across so many pearl clutchers as on these pages!

Re: Using the word "Stinkin"

Never really heard that phrase until watching some people on Q, I grew up in the northern of the Northeast. To me, I find it very much a southern thing, but everyone is south of us! (lol) Up around here, "wicked" is used prior to many words including "awesome", "smart", "cute" and so on. While "wicked" has a negative connotation by it's true definition 99% of the time, just like "stinking", that is not always the case up here! Smiley Wink

Re: Using the word "Stinkin"

Some of the kids' words are cute, but for professional adults, not cute.

Re: Using the word "Stinkin"

Jennifer Coffey used to say stinkin cute when she was a host and other hosts started copying that.

Re: Using the word "Stinkin"

'Fragrantly fabulous' sounds classy and positive.

Once said several times over and over again, it might become a trend.

It's worth a try.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

Re: Using the word "Stinkin"

The first person I recall saying 'stinkin' was VPH. It was years ago and others copied her. I'm from outside Philly, Bucks County, and I don't recall ever hearing that expression  before. It sounds like a southern colloquialism.
