First, I love QVC. I buy a lot from QVC and rarely is anything I purchase sent back unless it doesn't fit or doesn't look right on me. I just ordered some beautiful items for Christmas for me and my family who live in other states. However, I realized I will be traveling out of state when the packages are scheduled to be delivered. The first thing I did was change the delivery date. It was a more expensive postage rate. Then I realized, I can just send these items to my family and tell them not to open the box. It took about 20 minutes total to change the type of delivery and order the items to be sent to my family. I then went into the items that needed to be canceled, at the more expensive delivery rate, and was told I can't cancel it. In 20 minutes or so, it was already in process. WHAT???? Now on one hand, that's great. However, it doesn't give the customer enough time to alter the order. It's a waste of time for me, QVC, the post office, etc., not to mention the amount of postage I'm going to pay for something I no longer need. I will not get that money back. If QVC will tell us how long we have to alter an order or wait at least an hour before we can no longer change or cancel it, that will be better for everyone and prevent situations like mine. I've just wasted a lot of time and money. I will have to send these items back and I'll never get back the significantly larger cost for the delivery.
Can QVC please set a timeframe to cancel when ordering items? Even if it is on the screen after the order request is made, at least the customer will know and can work on any changes swiftly! I thought I did that, but apparently I wasn't quick enough.
