Re: Timeframe to cancel an order

I wonder how many purchases made on QVC are just impulse purchases, not something anyone actually needs.

I agree with you, while you can't cancel or alter (change color or size) an order within minutes of ordering, your order sits for days & days (up to 5 days) before shipping.

This is a racket on QVC's part as far as I'm concerned and I refuse to continue to be taken advantage of like this. My days of ordering from QVC are over because of this racket they choose to use.

I'll order from reputable companies who treat their customers fairly from now on.

QVC definitely does not. Bye Bye QVC.

That doesn't really matter, when the fact is that our orders sit for days and days (up to 5 days) before shipping, yet we can't change or cancel an order, impulse or not.

@Happy Aunt J I would suggest you only place an order once you are 100% sure you want it. Don't go into the purchase thinking you could cancel within a certain timeframe.

I don't blame QVC for reducing/eliminating the time you can cancel. Too many times people place orders only to HOLD items until they decide. That may be a loss of sale for QVC when there are other customers out there that would order the item and not cancel.

I read some of these scenarios and I just shake my head. I can't imagine programming software for these adhoc whoopsies.

Of course it matters, but you might be comparing apples to oranges here.

I understand the reason for starting this thread, and am well aware that things sit in the warehouse longer than they should.

What I was "wondering" was what percentage of actual QVC purchases, overall, are impulse buys.  Nothing to do with cancelling or shipping times.
