My first purchase to QVC was a quacker factory TSV.  Ms. Byce said repeatedly "buy responsibly" in her presentation.  It's been many many years and as time has rolled on, the commentary from hosts can lose common sense and tact.  In a Beekman show this evening, the comment was made from your host "those of you who don't like scent (said w/great condescension) the lemon is all natural, the grapefruit. . . ."

Here's the reality -- there are medical reasons why some require unscented. If your host had had surgery with cut lines on her body that required healing, would lemon and grapefruit be welcomed when unscented products are medically REQUIRED? Perhaps this hit me personally due to another 9 months of medical treatments ahead of me, however the personal connotation for anyone to choose what is best for them is not what QVC leads with. It's to push a product and it's just sad. I seldom hear this type of commentary on HSN - train your hosts.  It's sorely needed.

Sorry to see you're having a hard time, but don't take things personally.

 These are very competitive times for retailers and QVC has it harder than most.  They need to drive sales to remain viable and deliver some value to their stockholders.

@KateLynninAZ.  If you're looking for something for cleansing, you might take a look at M71291.  I use them all the time and think they're a fantastic invention.They're scent free.

@KateLynninAZ @I hear you. My Sister has COPD so severe that just a whiff of a candle, or lite perfume sends her gasping for air. Sometimes it takes her all afternoon to recover as she is in very, very poor condition. If I ever feel like someone is pushing a product, I "vote" with my dollars and do not buy. I think the only thing that gets the powers that be's attention is the almighty dollar.

@KateLynninAZ

I have had 3 Xlaps and multiple other minor surgeries with incisions.  I don't use anything on them except soap and water in the shower, usually something antibacterial until they are well healed and use that sparingly.  Water is your friend.  One day all your incisions should be well healed, hopefully and you can use your judgment as to which fragrance, if any, you like or don't like.  You should not feel this is personal or pushy for you.  We all have our crosses to bear.

I don't know what the Beekman product was they were selling but they almost always have an unscented version.   Maybe they were sold out.

What happened to common sense these days?  You and only you make your decision to buy or not.  Don't try to put blame where it shouldn't go.

Jeanne Bice?  Seriously?  About a Beekman presentation?
