That does not bother me as much as the host that says "WOWSA", but I do agree that some of the slang could be eliminated.  You don't hear Mary Beth, Jill, Jane, and the other more experienced hosts using slang.

Seriously? Mary Beth uses the phrase "I'll tell you what" constantly. Even the new hosts that she mentors use it from training with her.

There are standard and non-standard pronunciations of words.  Based on regional dialects and the evolution of words over time, different pronunciations are considered correct.  You can look them up in Websters dictionary, all three below are accepted:             

ˈjü-əl-rē

ˈjül-rē 

ˈjü-lə-rē

So you may want to take a deep breath, everything will be all right.

While I don't like it either, jewlery is a common pronunciation in several parts of the country.   It doesn't mean they are uneducated or unprofessional.  They just don't say it the way you say it.  It's not worth the angst.
