I think posters are going to have to learn to self-monitor their use of colors and fonts. I find your huge purple letters to be the equivalent of an all-caps post.

Ain't that the truth!!!! And QVC spent all this time gathering our feedback on Forum Changes and all the interaction where clearly the MAJORITY of those that responded wanted to be able to offer constructive criticism on QVC, Hosts, and vendors ...Strike 1---They don't listen to customers regarding limited products/programming, Strike 2---They don't listen to what we wanted on the Forums, Strike 3---This new redesign---frankly I think it is more PRIMITIVE than the other format---oh they added a couple of "new" features, but for me, they aren't really worth it!!!

@Pook wrote:The changes to the system are probably going to be ok now that we are figuring things out. The look can be a little different depending on the device you are using, how new it is, what browser you are using, etc and some things just do not appear the same like the gray dots to the menu to edit are not there except when using Chrome it seems and you have to run the cursor in that same area to get a gray box to access menu with other browsers. Some do not have bread crumbs appearing also. Most of this stuff should have been explained from the beginning but most of us can handle it once we figure it out.
What I don't like is them removing sub topics and why older insignificant posts were left but the more recent ones where discussions were going on were removed. No one from the team has even made an attempt to address anything all day yesterday and today so far which is just saying they don't care about the forums and did this to discourage posters from using them.
While I often think many posters are way too negative and border on being bullies and nasty in their posts, it was interesting to find many had most if not all of their posts negative and posted just to cause a commotion. This was their entertainment and they obviously needed the attention! Even if the discussions became a little heated at times so what. Now they say controversial topics may or may not be allowed which I guess really isn't anything new because that is how the forums were monitored before.
What's the old saying Pook, be careful what you asked for......Gee I thought you would be dancing in the streets, but after reading your reply your A-OKAY!!!! ![]()

so after much searching in my preferences, I finally found under the display options that I could turn it on to "forum only" and the topics would then appear pretty much the way they did before the "upgrade".
I can't say I think much of the upgrade so far and certainly the lack of support from
QVC's "social team" is completely lacking.
IMO, the subforums are necessary rather than all things lumped together. I don't really have the interest or time to go thru a lot of nonsense. This was a good place before to interact. I'm not interested in it being FB.

Well, I read a post before it was deleted by a Moderator. The deletion was due to making a personal attack on another poster. I thought the comment was amusing, maybe mildly sarcastic....Oh, oh. No sarcasm will be tolerated?

As far as I know there was only 1 big Spam strike with yes - nasty words - but surely that could have been delt with differently.
Amen, sister... File this away under be careful what you ask for...

BTW where is all the interaction with QVC's SOCIAL MEDIA TEAM (MODERATORS).....busy hiding perhaps?
....come out, come out wherever you are!!!!
Spurt, about our friends who kept threatening, er promising, to drop in and keep an eye on us, er, interact with us... I keep telling you all... they're in the bunker... And quite frankly, that's a good place for them. Wish they'd gone there before inflicting this on us...
As for weekend update, I don't blame you for calling it a day... It had to be a lot of work, and for all the months and months of fun, I also know it was getting to be old for you, especially given nothing ever changes... At the very least, take a few weeks off and see how you feel. I do find that you can still copy and paste most (not all but most) images directly from the web, if that makes any difference. I too am considering walking away. I've been saying it for a long time, but QVC just isn't any fun anymore and now, well, they've taken the last remaining bastion of fun and turned it into work... I'll stick around for the short term to see how this sorts out, but beyond a point, all bets are off...
I'm going to try to keep this thread going, assuming it doesn't get deleted, so at least try to stay in touch here, or if another venue opens up, wherever it makes sense... And incidentally, if the Nancy Naives get their collective schnoz out of joint, for whatever proably minor reason, and this thread should go kaput... I'll plan to try to start another with essentially the same name... Something those who created this nonsense should have done in the first place...

Gasp! Not sarcasm...
And weren't some us just sure this would be the road they'd choose to travel... Where never is heard a discouraging word and the skies are not cloudy and grey... I think some of us knew that those clamoring for those kinder, gentler boards wouldn't be happy until they ended up ultra pasteurized and it appears that's what we're in for, should we opt to stick around... At this point, that's looking like a pretty big if...
