@Daffney

"Venting under supervision" ?

Your moving on might be best.  I'm sure there are other message boards you can participate in that would be less confusing for you.  You clearly didn't bother to read QVC's Standards, which is always an important first step.

I encourage you to read the hosts' bios...backgrounds in theatre, broadcasting, and psycology.  I did not even state this; I only referred to the bios.

Is stating an opinion a red flag?

If so, what is the purpose?

@Daffney  What is your point?  You post in cryptic sentences.

Most of the hosts were hired for their background as small bit actors in movies, soap operas and the theater.  Some were news anchors, some read the weather & traffic reports.

For QVC, the biggest advantage a would-be host has in their previous work experience is if they have lots of TV and other on-air experience.  Sales people need to be good actors and comfortable playing a role, so they can convince you to buy whatever.

Most already know this.  Are you talking about something different? Again, what's your point?

I don't know what was written in the original post, however it must have been something the Mods felt didn't adhere to the rules.

IMO. the OP is baiting us. There are so many friendly, knowledge, interesting, and funny posters on the Forum just enjoy or move on.

@Daffney

Some of it IS a group of anonymous persons venting under supervision.  There is a lot of venting here.  There also is a lot that can be learned, as well.

The policies here are much more strict than other social media websites, so that must be taken into consideration.  Sometimes, it makes some of us rather angry; however, there are very interesting members that we would miss if we jumped ship.

Absolutely, never take me at my word.

You really don't have much to say, just one-liners.

Enjoy your trolling!

I commented on the Studio Park Line.  The only responses I received were from Honored Contributors and a Super Contributor.  After clarifying my point, questioning their status, and referencing the backgrounds of many hosts, my post was taken down.  My original message with their responses remained.  Did I hit a nerve?

Hi @Daffney -- As best as I can tell there is no rhyme or reason as to when they delete a post or thread.  Most likely, when a moderator did not like something one writes.  They have a right to do that, it is their forum.  You can establish your own website with your own rules if you prefer.  They have rules, but at the end of the day, it's their forum, and they sometimes delete posts that follow the rules, and fail to delete posts that don't follow the rules.

I think if many posters complain about a post (there is a link to do just that), that can get a post poofed.

Many of my posts have disappeared without explanation, and I don't give it any thought.  Their forum.  They didn't like what I wrote.  That's OK.  Not trying to offend or hurt anyone.  I don't need to have my posts here forever.

The "titles" of the posters, are, I think, based on the number of posts, as many others have pointed out.  They mean nothing, unless it's a QVC moderator.

Many of us have been here longer then the 2010 date that shows up. They did a major reboot thing years ago and we lost the year we registered here on the forums.

I think the oldest goes back to 2010.
