For several years management has said to investors that food has become one of the most profitable and fastest growing categories.
As someone noted, they also don't need to deal with storage and stocking and shipping, as almost all items are sent directly from vendors.
Not only will it not go away, but I anticipate onair presentations will expand.

@Howscome Why not mention specific products you would buy and what your price range is? QVC is offering food because vendors still want to sell on QVC and many viewers are buying.

When the majority of the food offerings sell in the hundreds instead of the thousands Q might pull back. As long as they are selling thousands of most items food offerings will grow not diminish.

It's because it's "no risk" to the Q.

I know you are not interested in buying food, but I want them to continue because of the small businesses they have helped to survive especially during the pandemic. We often times forget about others, but I truly appreciate who they are helping. Some complain about the cost of the food but no one thinks of the cost to produce these items and the people who prepare it. We can all buy food cheaper else where but not everyone can go out and do that. We need to remind ourselves about the people who is really have a need for this service. We need to also before all these shopping channels were available how difficult it was for some people to shop. There are people who have to travel miles to get what they needed in the pass and I am one who thinks it is a great thing to shop from the Q and other shopping channels.

I'm interested in button front blouses, crops, ankle pants & pj's so I demand Q only offer those items on air & online or lose me as a customer...that's right, what others want & need don't matter. Good grief.

QVC should only sell what you are interested in buying? Sorry to shock you but QVC does not revolve around you dearie.

I don't consider the food items that QVC sells to be basic daily items. I look at them like I do the fancy food catalogs I get. That stuff is "overpriced" too. I have purchased from both for special occasions.
I'm not going to be ordering from either for my weekly groceries.

@Spacrazy I recall posts on this board that if the food delivered was unsatisfactory (for whatever reason) QVC refunds the purchase price, so that's an expense the Q has to absorb.

Order a Grandma's pineapple coconut coffee cake and you will not regret it. I just received mine yesterday and it's more than half gone, it's amazing! Pricey but worth every penny!
