The bird baths that have to be in the sunshine in order to collect sunshine to support the solar functions - is counterproductive. Bird baths in full sunshine - when it's hot in the midwest is not good. It makes the water hot - would you enjoy drinking hot water in the summer? It also encourages faster algae growth. All of mine are in the shade so I cannot use the solar functions where fountains are advertised.
All the landscape lighting units appear to be battery operated via sun collection for the solar function. I have shade, so I cannot buy these. If there were some available from Bethlehem Lights - I would buy them. Surely I'm not the only customer who does not have enough sunshine to make these light up at night. They are placing light strands in hanging flower pots, surely they could design the individual spot lights or landscape lights to work off of a timer from batteries we have to insert? A 5 or 6 hr timer would be enough.
Flameless Candles seems to have it figured out!
