Silver Hardware Please Or Possible

[ Edited ]

On all or at least a lot of your handbags..and GILI... I'm not into brass or gold. Silver's my thing.

Plus a zipper on top to keep things inside, especially a bigger bag. It seems all have gone to a brass look with fringe/tassels... ufff :/  - and rose gold on jewelry with shorter chains. TY

~~ETA - I'm still using my great Bruce M bag from his first visit at the Q, long ago. It's been through the mill and is a great bag - larger, black pebble w/ silver hardware and padded shoulder strap. I get a lot of compliments too. Good stuff : )

Hi @cbrite

I can certainly pass your feedback along - great suggestions!  And it is nice to hear you are still using your Bruce M bag!

Have a great day!

I completely agree!  The gold tone or brass is a deal breaker for me.  If it is not  silver tone, I will not buy it.

Count me in on the silver hardware side.  I made the mistake of buying a wallet with a gold zipper, you wouldn't think it would be a big deal, but it bugs me every time I look at it.

I absolutely LOVE my BMak black pebble leather hobo.  Heart So much so that I have not been tempted to buy a handbag in forever - and that's saying a whole bunch for a handbag nut.  Found it at Marshall's on clearance for $50.  Best bag ever.

PS - silver hardware and only silver hardware for this gal.

I have a bag w/ 2 tone hardware (I think BRIGHTON)...  the best of both worlds. Although I prefer silver in my jewelry, I'm noticing a trend towards gold tone buttons, zippers, etc.

Ladies I agree, I will not purchase a bag with brassy or gold tone hand ware. I don't get it 90% of handbags and wallets are in gold tone,to find one that's not is rare. To me the gold tone looks cheap, no matter the designer.

Registering my vote too! Some brands used to at least offer silver tone in certain colors, and some still do, but it's rare. It must be hard to please everyone when a new trend comes out, and produce so many different options. Luckily, Tignanello still makes silver hardware. Cheers!

Re: Silver Hardware Please Or Possible

While I mostly wear silver/white gold, I do mix metals, so hardware color isn't usually a deal breaker for me. BUT, I hate really bright, brassy tones...that does look cheap to me.

Dooney bags, IMO, have very nice "light" gold hardware that I think goes very well with either gold or silver...but that's me!

@LibbyLib

Yes, that's true but unfortunately they have up to 40% plastic on their leather bags, so that's a deal breaker for me.
