My own e-mail automatically signs me out after about 5 minutes of no activity..............

I also use Chrome and usually stay signed in for 2-3 hrs but over that past two weeks I'm having to sign in every half hour, sometimes less, even when I don't close the page.
This is me.

I am glad I am not the only one having this new problem. I use Safari on my IPAD. I used to be able to log in once and stay logged in for virtually a entire day. Recently I have to log in constantly. Just now I logged in and responded to a post. I then went back to the menu and went to another forum and when I went to reply to another post I had to log in again. All within 5 minutes. This is absurd and does not make me want to participate in these forums.

@KathyPet, specific to the iPad... I've noticed if I close the Safari app multitasking in background I do have to sign in again.
Take a look in your "Settings," under "General," and tap "Background App Refresh." Be sure it's turned off.

@Judaline, Be sure you have the most recent version of Chrome running. If it's updating automatically, usually you have to quit the browser and relaunch it to complete each update. eta: Also, what kind of device are you using?

Do do, I just did what you said about background app refresh and I turned it off, so we'll see if it works.

I've posted about this in the past, and I really haven't seen any improvements. For me, it started last summer after they changed to the new format. I use iPad Safari with the latest iOS. I notice that I frequently have to sign in when I have the QVC forums open then open a new tab to go to another website then come back to the QVC forum tab. Other open tabs are shopping websites, but I never never have to log back in at those sites when I go to check QVC community and go back to them. I don't experience the frequent log ins and website bouncing at other websites--just here in QVC community. I've noticed when I posted concerns some iPad users say they have no problems here, but others agree with me.

@wildcat fan, I hope you saw my post. On the iPad, if you have "Background App Refresh" enabled for Safari or if you manually close the Safari app multitasking, you'll find yourself needing to sign in frequently.
